Annual Strawberry Festival to be Held at Luther Acres Campus

The Annual Strawberry Festival is scheduled for Saturday, June 9, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Luther Acres, the Luthercare community at 600 East Main Street, Lititz. Strawberries, ice cream and shortcakes will be $4.00 each, and hot dogs, chips and drinks will be $3.00. The Strawberry Festival will be held on the lawn in front of the Luther Acres Healthcare Center, rain or shine.

The Strawberry Festival is an annual fundraiser that supports the charitable activities of the Luther Acres Residents’ Council. The festival is also a fundraiser of the Friends of Luther Acres auxiliary.

Luthercare for Kids Opening New Early Learning Center in Marietta

Luthercare is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Community Bible Church in Marietta to open a new child care and early learning center in western Lancaster County.

The creation of Luthercare for Kids – Marietta reflects Luthercare’s comprehensive commitment to providing high-quality child care in an environment specifically designed to support early learning programming for young children in the communities served by Luthercare for Kids.

9th Annual Red, White and Blueberry Jamboree at St. John’s Herr Estate in Columbia

The 9th Annual Red, White and Blueberry Jamboree will be held on Saturday, May 19, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on the campus of St. John’s Herr Estate, the Luthercare senior living community at 200 Luther Lane, Columbia. The fun festivities will feature the famous 300-pound blueberry pie as well as a wildlife program from ZooAmerica® North American Wildlife Park. Fun activities include games for children, a visit from alpacas, and a moon bounce.

Luther Acres to Host Wellness Fair and Open House

Luther Acres, the Luthercare senior living community in Lititz, will host its 7th annual Wellness Fair and Open House on Thursday, April 26. The day features educational seminars from 8:30 a.m. until 1:15 p.m.; an Open House from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; and a health fair from 11:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The health fair, with the theme “There’s No Clowning Around When It Comes to Good Health!,” will take place in the Community Room at the Luther Acres Towne Center, at 250 St. Luke Drive, Lititz, and seminars will take place in and around the Towne Center.

Chaplain to be Installed at Spang Crest

The Reverend Jillian E. Riddle will be installed as Chaplain at Spang Crest, a Luthercare community at 945 Duke St., Lebanon, on Wednesday, March 14, at 2:30 pm. The installation will take place in the Chapel of the Abiding Christ at Spang Crest.  The Rev. Glenn A. Beard, Jr., Luthercare’s Director of Church Relations & Pastoral Care, will be preaching and The Rev. Robert Wallace, Jr., Dean of the Lebanon Conference, ELCA, will be presiding at the Installation.

Career Open House planned at Luther Acres

Spring into a new career with Luthercare! Luther Acres, a Luthercare senior living community in Lititz, is looking for dedicated, caring and compassionate individuals to join our team. We will be hosting a Career Open House on Tuesday, March 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Luther Acres Healthcare Center, 400 St. Luke Drive, Lititz PA 17543. CNAs, LPNs and RNs are invited to attend to learn more about a career with Luthercare.

Luther Acres Offers Winter Courses

Luther Acres, a Luthercare community, 600 E. Main St., Lititz, is offering a variety of courses for its Winter 2018 "reDiscover A World of Possibilities" program. The courses are one day a week, and some cover a two-, four- or six-week period. All are open to the greater community. The courses are held on the Luther Acres campus and have varying fees for residents and non-residents; some courses are free to attend. The purpose of the "reDiscover" program is to provide an opportunity to learn new things, be creative, enrich minds and have fun!

Luther Acres, Spang Crest Healthcare Centers Earn 5-Star Ratings

The Healthcare Centers of Luther Acres and Spang Crest have each earned the highest rating possible by the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

The skilled nursing centers, located in Lititz and Lebanon, earned an overall 5-star rating from the CMS, in accordance with the standards set forth by the entity.
