Residents plan for Annual Holiday Bazaar at Luther Acres

Residents of Luther Acres, the Luthercare community in Lititz, have been working for months to prepare items for the upcoming Annual Holiday Bazaar. This year, the event will be held on Friday, November 16, and Saturday, November 17. The doors of the Community Room, in the Towne Center at 250 St. Luke Drive, Lititz, will open on Friday evening at 6:00 p.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. On Saturday, sales will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 1:00 p.m.


Luther Acres Offers Fall Courses

Luther Acres, a Luthercare community, 600 E. Main St., Lititz, is offering a variety of courses for its Fall 2018 "reDiscover A World of Possibilities" program. The courses are one day a week, and some cover a two-, three-, or six-week period. All are open to the greater community. The courses are held on the Luther Acres campus and have varying fees for residents and non-residents; some courses are free to attend. The purpose of the "reDiscover" program is to provide an opportunity to learn new things, be creative, enrich minds and have fun!

A Senior Living Community ‘Without Walls’: Luther Acres on Pin Oak Drive

Luthercare is pleased to announce it has begun offering a new twist on campus living at Luther Acres, called Luther Acres on Pin Oak Drive.

This exciting new project offers a wonderful opportunity for today’s wellness-focused, active seniors to customize a brand-new home on property bordering the southern side of the existing Luther Acres campus. Doing so enables them to receive all the benefits of being part of Luther Acres and, in essence, creates an extension of the Lititz senior living community into the greater community.


Luthercare for Kids Opens New Early Learning Center in Marietta

Luthercare for Kids, in partnership with Community Bible Church in Marietta, recently celebrated the grand opening of its new child care and Early Learning Center in western Lancaster County.

The creation of Luthercare for Kids – Marietta reflects Luthercare’s comprehensive commitment to providing high-quality child care in an environment specifically designed to support early learning programming for young children in the communities served by Luthercare for Kids.

Meet Kristen Oleary – Vice President, Marketing & Communications

Kristen Oleary has joined the Luthercare Executive Leadership team, bringing 25 years of experience to her new role as Vice President – Marketing & Communications. In this position, Kristen will promote the ministry, mission and core values of Luthercare while fostering excellence in hospitality and customer service.


Meet Tammy Schucker – Director of Clinical Systems Integration

Tammy Schucker is Luthercare’s new Director of Clinical Systems Integration. In this role, she is responsible for the rollout and implementation of PointClickCare. After rollouts are complete, Tammy will ensure the system stays current with regulations and assessments. She will train new staff during orientation and will keep staff up to date on any new services and updates.


SAIL Awarded Three-Year Grant

Systems Aligned in Learning (SAIL) is a collective impact project which has been funded by United Way of Lancaster County, the Lancaster County Community Foundation and the Steinman Foundation. United Way of Lancaster County announced that SAIL is among 10 projects funded for the next three-year cycle, 2018- 2021. The award is $202,000 for 2018-2019.


Your Neighborhood Connection Update

Your Neighborhood Connection launched on March 1, 2016. Since this time, team members have proudly delivered roughly 22,000 hours of care, enabling clients to remain safely in their homes. If you were to catch a glimpse of the interaction between our clients and caregivers, you would see staff assisting with errands, taking walks, scheduling and transporting to appointments, attending special events, planning and preparing meals, providing personal care or just socializing.
