The devastation from Hurricanes Harvey and Irma are still on everyone’s mind, but long after the storm passes and the headlines change, Lutheran Disaster Response volunteers will arrive with a focus on long-term recovery.
In just a few weeks, the local Lutheran Disaster Response affiliate – the Lower Susquehanna Synod Lutheran Disaster Response Task Force – will coordinate one final disaster response trip to New Jersey, five years after Super Storm Sandy ravaged the East Coast. Then, they’ll turn their sights toward providing on-going assistance to the south.
Here at Luthercare, our mission is to support the youngest and the oldest throughout Lancaster and Lebanon counties. With compassion, teamwork, integrity, connection and learning, we work to provide the highest quality of care to those we serve. Our senior living communities and child care centers have been recognized nationally, but what truly sets us apart are the individuals who make up the Luthercare family. Here are just a few examples of Luthercare family members who make our senior living communities and early learning centers very special places.
