
Child Care Information Services of Lebanon County

Mission Statement:
The Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, through its Child Care Information Services Agencies, administers the Subsidized Child Day Care Program for low-income families and makes resource and referral services available to all citizens of Pennsylvania.
Child Care Information Services Agencies are dedicated to provide all services courteously, to help families receive all of the services for which they are eligible, and to help families access all needed resources in a community.
Child Care Subsidy:
- Subsidized child care provided for a child whose family meets financial and nonfinancial eligibility requirements
- Parent/Caretaker needs to work a minimum of twenty (20) hours per week (ten (10) allowed in the form of education or training)
- Subsidy-eligible family receive child care during the hours the parent/caretaker needs care including the hours the parent/caretaker attends work, education or training
- Families gross yearly income needs to be within the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines (FPIG) to qualify for financial assistance
- Eligible family is assessed a co-payment based on the family size and gross income. The co-payment is paid by the family to the provider every week.
- Providers may assess a fee for an amount that represents the difference between the DPW's maximum child care allowance and the provider's daily rate. This fee is in addition to weekly co-payment.
- Eligible family may be placed on a waiting list if funding is not available. While on the waiting list the family is responsible for paying the full cost of care.

- Information on area agencies that assist parents and children
- Brochures and videos on issues such as child development, health and safety
