As part of its ongoing commitment to older adults and children, Luthercare initiated a comprehensive Community Engagement Needs Assessment to evaluate their health and social service needs. The Community Engagement Needs Assessment, conducted in 2014, assesses key indicators of health and well-being, including socioeconomic status, morbidity and mortality, and physical environment.
The completion of the Community Engagement Needs Assessment enables Luthercare to take an in-depth look at the issues facing older adults and children. Luthercare will use data from the Secondary Data Report in conjunction with results from a Key Informant Study and Focus Group Discussions to both inform and engage the greater community in a collective initiative to improve the overall quality of life of older adults and children. Below you will find the report, which summarizes the findings of the secondary data statistics, key informant testimony and focus group discussions.
