Your Neighborhood Connection, a partnership of Luthercare and Moravian Manor, is pleased to present a unique educational opportunity coming in November to Luther Acres residents and those on the Luther Acres waiting list. Join us for a free two-hour community education program with guest speaker Beth Tesfay from Unforgettable Gems. She’ll provide insight and strategies to help you better understand the stages of brain changes. The GEMS® workshop is a dementia classification model that compares different states of being and ability to the characteristics of precious jewels. This dignified metaphor defines normal aging as well as the many appearances, behavioral changes, skill sets, and needs of those living with the effects of neurocognitive failure (dementia) or other brain changes.

To RSVP, please call Your Neighborhood Connection at 717.627.0072 or email leanne@yourneighborhoodconnection.org by October 19. Space is limited; reserve your seat early. Refreshments will be served prior to the prompt start of the program.
