The Caring Fund
Luthercare provides the residents of our senior living communities with quality care, anchored in the Christian tradition. We have a long-standing commitment to serve people of moderate and middle incomes. Our commitment to our residents includes the comfort of knowing that if their resources become inadequate, The Caring Fund will be there to help them.
Every year, Luthercare’s Caring Fund provides quality care to people in need who simply cannot pay the full cost of the services they receive. This includes the residents of our senior living communities, as well as those families who use our Child Care Programs.
Last year, Luthercare provided more than $2.8 million in benevolent care to help the people we serve. Consider that approximately:
- 2/5 of our healthcare residents are unable to pay the full cost of their care
- 1/5 of assisted living residents receive financial assistance
- 3/5 of the children in our Child Care Programs need additional support
Donating to The Caring Fund
Gifts to The Caring Fund are unrestricted and provide benevolent care for all of Luthercare's community ministry programs. Donors may specifically direct the use of their gifts to The Caring Fun for special programs or for an individual campus. All gifts – of any form or amount – are both needed and welcome.
