Volunteer Opportunities

There is always a need for dedicated volunteers at our communities, and Luthercare is extremely grateful for the many folks who help out on all the campuses.  From time to time, we have immediate and specific needs, in addition to the regular volunteer opportunities, which are highlighted below.

Students… fulfill your graduation requirements while making a difference in seniors’ lives! Your assistance and interaction with our residents would be gladly appreciated by our staff as well as our residents!

Luther Acres Volunteens
The “Volunteens” program celebrates 16 years at Luther Acres.  Teenagers volunteer their time to assist residents of Luther Acres in activities, in transporting in wheelchairs, and in any other areas where there is a need.  The youths are involved because of Church activities, Confirmation Classes or Community Service projects and can be recognized by their green T-shirts that say "Luther Acres." It's been such a successful program over the years that pre-teens are now interested. We have begun including nine- through eleven-year-olds, known as the "JVs."
