The Spang Crest Memory Center offers a comfortable, supportive and secure environment that promotes independence and well-being. For those with early-stage memory loss, we offer advanced memory support practices, exceptional staffs with special training in memory support and compassionate services designed to engage and stimulate residents. We can support residents and their families as they move through the various stages of memory loss. >
Skilled Nursing Care
Long-term care at our Healthcare Center means families can find comfort in knowing their loved ones have access to a skilled and dedicated staff that is ready to provide around-the-clock care. Our goal is to help residents live life to their fullest potential and to help them embrace what matters most, all while ensuring their needs are met. >
Rehab to Home
Our specialized Short-Term Rehabilitation program accelerates recoveries and eases transitions back to home. We provide post-surgery orthopedic care, pain management, stroke rehabilitation, wound care and fall management. Services include physical, occupational and speech therapy and more. Nursing staff, activity coordinators, therapists, dietitians and social workers all work together to help patients achieve their goals, helping them to resume regular activities. >

Today’s skilled care centers – with home-like accommodations, an emphasis on choice, and a variety of social and recreational opportunities – are a far cry from the “nursing homes” of years past.
Whether it’s short-term rehabilitation or long-term care that is needed, the services at our Healthcare Centers include short-term and postoperative rehabilitation; physical, occupational and speech therapies; skilled nursing care; and memory support. And our therapeutic recreation teams ensure that residents can enjoy enriching, fulfilling and fun activities and events.
Our therapeutic recreation teams work to provide our residents with programming that touches their mind, body and spirit. We offer small groups experiences for those with shared interests, whether that be painting, trivia, or bingo. The variety of programming can support individual in their pursuit of leisure interests.
Spang Crest happily welcomes visits from pets, and we strongly believe they positively impact our residents’ health and well-being. Studies have shown us that there are many health benefits to interacting with pets. Pets can decrease blood pressure, cholesterol levels, triglyceride levels and feelings of loneliness, and they can increase opportunities for socialization, outdoor activities and exercise.
Residents also appreciate the intergenerational programs available at both campuses, whether they are programs with children from our Luthercare for Kids Early Learning Centers or the local schools.
