The Friends of Spang Crest, an auxiliary group that supports Luthercare’s Lebanon senior living community, plans several events over the course of the year to aid in its mission.


Annual Strawberry Festival to be Held at Luther Acres

The Annual Strawberry Festival is scheduled for Saturday, June 10, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Luther Acres, the Luthercare community at 600 East Main Street, Lititz. Strawberries, ice cream and shortcakes will be $4.00 each, and hot dogs, chips and drinks will be $3.00. The Strawberry Festival will be held on the lawn in front of the Luther Acres Healthcare Center, rain or shine.


Luminary Celebrations Planned in December

Though it’s hard to believe the Christmas season is around the corner, Luthercare is preparing for our 3rd Annual Lights of Luthercare celebrations. The luminaries will shine and campus Christmas trees will be lit at St. John’s Herr Estate on Friday, December 2, and at Luther Acres on Tuesday, December 6.


Large art sale sponsored by Luther Acres Residents’ Council

A large art sale sponsored by the Luther Acres Residents’ Council will be held on Saturday, Oct. 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Community Room in the Towne Center of the senior living community at 600 East Main Street, Lititz.

Items for sale include more than 150 pre-priced, matted and framed prints of various sizes that formerly decorated the Muhlenberg Apartment Building, which has undergone significant renovations. The public is invited and encouraged to attend! (Please note: This is not an auction.)


Luther Acres Hosts “Don’t Gamble with Your Health” Wellness Fair

Luther Acres, the Luthercare community in Lititz, will host its 5th annual Health and Wellness Fair on Thursday, April 28. The day features educational seminars from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and a health fair from 11:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. The health fair, with the theme “Don’t Gamble with Your Health,” will take place in the Luther Acres Towne Center, at 250 St. Luke Drive, Lititz, and seminars will take place in and around the Towne Center. The day’s events are open to the public, and there is no charge to attend.
