Luthercare for Kids Opening New Early Learning Center in Marietta

Luthercare is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Community Bible Church in Marietta to open a new child care and early learning center in western Lancaster County.

The creation of Luthercare for Kids – Marietta reflects Luthercare’s comprehensive commitment to providing high-quality child care in an environment specifically designed to support early learning programming for young children in the communities served by Luthercare for Kids.


Support Luthercare for Kids during the Extraordinary Give

On Friday, November 17, please consider supporting Luthercare for Kids and its involvement with Systems Aligned in Learning (SAIL) during the Extraordinary Give, Lancaster County’s Largest Day of Giving. Any donation made online at on that day will be stretched by at least a half million dollars in stretch pool and prizes from the Lancaster County Community Foundation and sponsors.


Open House Planned for Luthercare for Kids – Annville

Luthercare for Kids – Annville, 40 S. King St., Annville, will open its doors to the community beginning at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18. During the open house, come learn more about the Early Learning Center’s programs and see for yourself what your child would experience. Meet the teachers and staff, tour classrooms, view curriculum and ask questions! There will be activities for all ages and light refreshments. We look forward to meeting you!


Luthercare Announces Promotions Supporting Community Outreach and Luthercare for Kids

Luthercare is pleased to announce two key promotions within the organization.

Lorita Valente, Luthercare’s Director of Child Care Information Services (CCIS) of Lebanon County, has been named Executive Director of Community Programs, and Jamie Reichenbach, Coordinator of Mentoring Services for Luthercare for Kids, has been named Director of Early Learning for Luthercare for Kids. Ms. Valente and Ms. Reichenbach began their duties on August 20.


22nd Annual Tee it up for Kids! Golf Tournament Supports Luthercare for Kids Members

109 golfers took the course in a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m. They were eagerly participating in the 22nd Annual Tee it up for Kids! Golf Tournament on September 26 in support of Luthercare for Kids Early Learning Programs. The course at Lebanon Country Club would prove to be a challenge.


Yard sale planned by Luther Acres Residents’ Council - RESCHEDULED TO OCTOBER 22 DUE TO WEATHER

A yard sale sponsored by the Luther Acres Residents’ Council will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 515 Kissel Hill Road, Lititz, near the St. Matthew Road entrance to Luther Acres, a Luthercare senior living community. The rain date will be Saturday, Oct. 22.

Items for sale include furniture, sporting equipment, electronics, household goods, metal cabinets for storage, and other odds and ends.


Luthercare for Kids Awarded Pre-K Counts, Early Head Start Grants

Luthercare for Kids learned this past spring that it had received new state and federal dollars to support Early Childhood Education in Lancaster and Lebanon counties. 


Luthercare for Kids – Annville Center Director Honored

Congratulations to Luthercare for Kids – Annville Center Director Tia Bergman! In May, Tia received The Betty Holsopple Award from the Lebanon Valley Association for the Education of Young Children (LVAEYC). 

The award, previously known as the Educator of the Year Award, recognizes outstanding service in the area of Early Childhood Education in Lebanon County. It is presented to a LVAEYC member who is “a mentor, an advocate and someone who performs outstanding service in the early childhood community.”


22nd Annual Tee it Up for Kids!

This year’s Tee it Up for Kids! Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, September 26 at the Lebanon Country Club. As in previous years, proceeds will benefit the Luthercare for Kids Scholarship Fund. Currently, 50 percent of the children attending our Luthercare for Kids Early Learning Centers receive assistance. Over the last 22 years, this has translated into hundreds of families who were able to afford a high-quality learning experience for their child. 


Luthercare for Kids - Helping Children in Lancaster be Kindergarten-Ready

Luthercare for Kids – Lancaster is part of a collaborative project that will provide free pre-kindergarten to children within the School District of Lancaster’s George Washington Elementary School’s attendance zone. “The Learning Lancaster Collaborative” is part of the United Way of Lancaster’s Collaborative Impact Partnerships.
