St. John’s Herr Estate, a Luthercare retirement community, will offer an Ice Cream Social, Thursday, July 25 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., 200 Luther Lane, Columbia, PA.

4th Annual Red, White and Blueberry Jamboree at St. John’s Herr Estate

The 4th Annual Red, White and Blueberry Jamboree will be held on Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on the St. John’s Herr Estate (a Luthercare community) campus, 200 Luther Lane, Columbia. Again, it will feature a 300-pound blueberry pie. At 12 p.m., WGAL’s Jack Hubley will do a special presentation. Fun activities include games for children, face painting, a dunk tank and moon bounce, as well as live music. The celebration will have a pie eating contest, the Turkey Hill Cow, the Columbia Consolidated Fire Department, the National Watch and Clock Museum and the Brush.

The 3rd Annual Red, White and Blueberry Jamboree will be held on Saturday, May 19, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on the St. John’s Herr Estate (a Luthercare community) campus, 200 Luther Lane, Columbia. For the third year, it will feature a 300-pound blueberry pie. Rita's Ice, chicken corn soup, hot dogs, chips and beverages will also be available. For entertainment, there will be games for children, face painting, a dunk tank and moon bounce, as well as live music. The celebration will also include the Turkey Hill Cow and the Columbia Fire Company.

Spring Courses - reDiscover a World of Possibilities

Luther Acres, a Luthercare community, 600 E. Main Street, Lititz, is offering a variety of courses for their Spring "reDiscover A World of Possibilities" program. The courses are one day a week and some cover a 2, 3 or 4-week period. All are open to the greater community. The courses are on the Luther Acres campus and have varying fees for residents and non-residents, some are free. The purpose of the "reDiscover" program is to provide an opportunity to learn new things, be creative, enrich minds and have fun.
