Luthercare for Kids learned this past spring that it had received new state and federal dollars to support Early Childhood Education in Lancaster and Lebanon counties.

Luthercare for Kids – Annville Center Director Honored

Congratulations to Luthercare for Kids – Annville Center Director Tia Bergman! In May, Tia received The Betty Holsopple Award from the Lebanon Valley Association for the Education of Young Children (LVAEYC). 

The award, previously known as the Educator of the Year Award, recognizes outstanding service in the area of Early Childhood Education in Lebanon County. It is presented to a LVAEYC member who is “a mentor, an advocate and someone who performs outstanding service in the early childhood community.”

This year’s 7th Annual Red, White and Blueberry Jamboree at St. John’s Herr Estate dished out a generous helping of fun festivities, community togetherness – and of course – blueberry pie!

22nd Annual Tee it Up for Kids!

This year’s Tee it Up for Kids! Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, September 26 at the Lebanon Country Club. As in previous years, proceeds will benefit the Luthercare for Kids Scholarship Fund. Currently, 50 percent of the children attending our Luthercare for Kids Early Learning Centers receive assistance. Over the last 22 years, this has translated into hundreds of families who were able to afford a high-quality learning experience for their child.

An Evening of Artistry, Beauty and Inspiration at St. John’s Herr Estate

In conjunction with the June Fourth Friday events in Columbia, Marietta and Wrightsville, St. John’s Herr Estate, the Luthercare senior living community in Columbia, will feature the artistry of its talented residents during a Resident Art Exhibit and will host an Open House on Friday, June 24. Come be inspired by the art of senior living at St. John’s Herr Estate, 200 Luther Lane, Columbia.

Annual Strawberry Festival Held at Luther Acres

The Annual Strawberry Festival was held Saturday, June 11, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Luther Acres, the Luthercare community at 600 East Main Street, Lititz. Resident volunteers readied 104 quarts of strawberries in preparation for the Festival. The weather was sunny and warm – the perfect backdrop for family, friends, community members and campus residents who attended the event to enjoy the strawberries, which were served with shortcake, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream.

Annual Strawberry Festival to be Held at Luther Acres Campus

The Annual Strawberry Festival is scheduled for Saturday, June 11, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Luther Acres, the Luthercare community at 600 East Main Street, Lititz. Strawberries, ice cream and shortcakes will be $4.00 each, and hot dogs, chips and drinks will be $3.00. The Strawberry Festival will be held on the lawn in front of the Luther Acres Healthcare Center, rain or shine. Les Bower will provide musical entertainment.

St. John’s Herr Estate celebrates 25th anniversary

St. John’s Herr Estate, the Luthercare senior living community in Columbia, celebrates its 25th Anniversary this year. There are many special events planned for residents, their families and staff members throughout the month of May.  On Thursday, May 19 – the date when the community opened its doors in 1991 – they will celebrate with an anniversary party. The festivities begin at 2 p.m. in the Dining Room of the community at 200 Luther Lane, Columbia.
