Residents of Luther Acres, the Luthercare community in Lititz, have been working for months to prepare a wide variety of gift items for the upcoming Holiday Bazaar. Please plan to join us for a fun day of shopping that benefits the Luthercare Caring Fund, which supports benevolent care for residents. This year, the event will be held on Saturday, November 22, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Luther Acres Towne Center at 250 St. Luke Drive, Lititz.
The bazaar will feature 20+ artisan vendors selling a variety of items as well as many items made by Luther Acres residents. Various stands will feature handcrafted items, knitted and crocheted items, wooden crafts, pottery, baskets, painted t-shirts, and more. There will also be an array of donated jewelry, attic treasure items, and Christmas decorations for sale. Shoppers will be able to pay for their purchases via cash or check.
A highlight of this year’s bazaar will include a silent auction of several donated pieces of artwork and collectibles. The items are being sold “as is” and will be on display during the bazaar. Bidding ends at 1:30 p.m. Winning bidders will be posted and announced for each item.
Items up for bid include:
- Several framed watercolor paintings by Roberta “Bobbie” Diehm, including “Lititz Railroad Station,” “Old Tractor In A Field,” “Old Panel Truck – 1984,” and “Looking Out A Barn Window – 1981.”

- Framed, limited edition watercolor print by P. Buckley Moss, “Twilight Ride,” 1985, #795/1000.

- Limited edition Steiff Teddy Bear Scenes, including “Bears On A See Saw – 0132/24 – with a replica of a 1924 Pull toy – 1988” and “Camp Fire Bears (0210/22)”.

- Eleven Byers’ Choice collectible figurines. While all the dolls are dated, two of them – “Skier,” 24/100 (2001) and “Skater,” 69/100 (1991) – are dated and signed.

- A Byers’ Choice doll storage chest that holds 12 dolls.

- William Shatner signed Captain Kirk “Star Trek” photo plaque, Limited Edition (1992), 218/2500. Plaque is 12”x15” with 8”x10” photo.

Before shopping at the bazaar, guests can enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast in Katy’s Grill, a campus restaurant in the Luther Acres Towne Center, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The breakfast features two pancakes, two sausage links, juice, coffee, and tea for $9.00 (cash only) and benefits the Luthercare Caring Fund.
Preparing for the sale and pancake breakfast takes a lot of planning, organizing, and coordinating on behalf of the Luther Acres residents, and they are excited to welcome the public to this fund-raising endeavor. All proceeds from the bazaar are directed to the Caring Fund, which supports benevolent care for Luther Acres residents.
