Luthercare Establishes Visitor Policy During Coronavirus Outbreak

In an effort to protect our residents and team members and to help prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) and the ongoing flu, Luthercare is committed to being proactive, especially because the older adults we serve are at higher risk for complications.

Luthercare will be adhering to the following requirements from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Please refrain from visiting a Luthercare senior living community or Luthercare for Kids Early Learning Center if any of the following apply to you:

1. Presence of any flu symptoms, including fever, sore throat, body aches, chills and cough

2. Have traveled outside the United States or to a region that has confirmed cases of COVID-19

3. Display signs or symptoms of a respiratory infection, such as fever, cough and sore throat

4. Have had contact with someone with or under investigation for COVID-19

We also ask all visitors to wash your hands before and after entering our buildings and to use proper handwashing technique, including 20 seconds with heavy friction. At this time, we also request that you visit only one senior living community resident at a time, rather than multiple residents.

We are continuing to monitor the situation and will provide updates as they become available. We are working closely with our medical directors and will follow the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Thank you for keeping our residents and children safe!
