Luthercare’s Tee it Up for Kids! Golf Tournament is celebrating its 26th anniversary this year!
The first swing of a club in 1994 started a continuing stream of generosity from countless corporations, foundations and individuals. Proceeds from Tee it Up for Kids! support the Luthercare for Kids Scholarship Fund. Nearly 50 percent of the children we serve in our Luthercare for Kids Early Learning Centers are in need of scholarship support. As businesses continue to reopen and parents are called back to work after the coronavirus-related closures, we know that reliable childcare will be more important for our community than ever.
This year, our Tee it Up for Kids! Golf Tournament will take place on Monday, October 5, at the beautiful Bent Creek Country Club, 620 Bent Creek Drive, Lititz, PA 17543. Due to concerns regarding the coronavirus, our tournament will look a little different this year. The health and safety of our golfers is the top priority, and we are working with Bent Creek Country Club to ensure the safest day for all golfers, volunteers and staff.
Some of the precautions for this year’s event include:
- We will be utilizing an online platform to ensure an easy golf-day check-in and registration process while reducing the amount of touch-points and group gatherings.
- There will be no reception with awards and prizes following play. Instead, golfers will be able to see a leaderboard as they finish their round, and winners will be notified after the tournament.
While playing the course, all guests will be asked to practice social distancing, and any players who share a cart will be asked to wear a mask while riding. For food service safety, Bent Creek will set up two different food and beverage stations on the course, and boxed lunches will be provided. All safety precautions and guidelines will be shared with golfers upon registration. We appreciate your patience and understanding, and we’re looking forward to providing a great day for all who participate!
