St. John’s Herr Estate, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, is planning a drive-thru Chicken Barbeque on Saturday, October 9, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at St. John’s Herr Estate, 200 Luther Lane, Columbia, PA 17512. Cost is $10.00 in advance or $12.00 on the day of the event for half a chicken, baked potato, coleslaw, dinner roll, and a homemade glazed blueberry turnover.
Ticket pre-sale begins Friday, September 17, and ends Friday, October 1. For advance tickets, please contact St. John’s Herr Estate at 717.684.0678. Tickets will also be available for purchase at St. John’s Herr Estate’s Fall Fest event on Saturday, September 18, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Proceeds from the Chicken Barbeque sale will benefit St. John’s Herr Estate Residents’ Council.
St. John’s Herr Estate continues to celebrate its 30th anniversary milestone in a variety of ways this year. Other festivities have included a chapel re-dedication ceremony, a slideshow presentation featuring photos of the campus over the years, and a special dinner planned for this fall. In addition to the barbeque, they’re planning a special anniversary dinner for residents this fall.
