Summer 2018 was a Very Busy Time for Luthercare!

We kicked off the season with the 9th annual Red, White and Blueberry Jamboree on the campus of St. John’s Herr Estate, the Luthercare senior living community in Columbia. Spang Crest Team Brings Spirit of Volunteerism to Day of Caring Event

A team of Spang Crest employees and their family members were among more than 1,100 volunteers who spread out across the Lebanon area in a variety of service projects to mark the United Way of Lebanon County’s 22nd annual Day of Caring on Saturday, April 21.

From 9 a.m. to noon, the Spang Crest group cleaned, mulched and prepared Coleman Memorial Park on West Maple Street in Lebanon for the spring and summer season!

Gardening Pioneers at Luther Acres

Ruth Lohmeyer and Terri Wible are trying some new gardening methods at Luther Acres, the Luthercare senior living community in Lititz. Both Luther Acres residents, they are experimenting with different ways of gardening that bring many benefits to the garden.

Annual Strawberry Festival to be Held at Luther Acres Campus

The Annual Strawberry Festival is scheduled for Saturday, June 9, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Luther Acres, the Luthercare community at 600 East Main Street, Lititz. Strawberries, ice cream and shortcakes will be $4.00 each, and hot dogs, chips and drinks will be $3.00. The Strawberry Festival will be held on the lawn in front of the Luther Acres Healthcare Center, rain or shine.

The Strawberry Festival is an annual fundraiser that supports the charitable activities of the Luther Acres Residents’ Council. The festival is also a fundraiser of the Friends of Luther Acres auxiliary.

Luthercare for Kids Opening New Early Learning Center in Marietta

Luthercare is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Community Bible Church in Marietta to open a new child care and early learning center in western Lancaster County.

The creation of Luthercare for Kids – Marietta reflects Luthercare’s comprehensive commitment to providing high-quality child care in an environment specifically designed to support early learning programming for young children in the communities served by Luthercare for Kids.
